Au contraire.  For example, our company phone list is in Outlook, and
has around 800 entries.  I find the only sane way to use it is to type
the first few characters of the surname and I'm instantly positioned in
the right area.  Exactly like a "position to" field, except without the
input-capable field.  Much faster than mousing.
