Sometimes I misunderstand a question, but I believe the problem may be 
less serious than you fear.  The System 36 has all of it's data files in 
one library.  What happens if you use your normal process to transfer 
files, but just transfer the file to that library?  I'm thinking that that 
is all you really need to do differently than the regular AS/400 
environment.   RPG2 in itself should not muck up your works.
