The old TAATOOLS MSGCTL/Pager program in News/400 had an ICF file string of 50
characters, I need to send a longer one now, because I have to go through a
people friendly automated system! Increasing the String sent seems to not
work, in the sense it appear to halt after a certain amount of characters about
41 to 42, should I send 2 40's instead???? I am able to monitor the phone call
as it is being made so I can hear when it stops, this is the string I
send........ ATDT5557243,,,,,,,,,5555556011#,,,,,1,1,114000220#,,,,,1,,,,1.

If I change the *Async Line description to have the phone number to call instead
of putting into the string, since it will be the only phone number I call, can
someone suggest what changes I would make in the program or the string to do a
proper hang-up, or do I just vary off the devices and that will do it? I
understand the new string would not contain the ATDT and the phone number.

Would changing the buffer size on the lin desc allow a longer string, it is 896
??? Or should I change the modem speed to 50, which the network guys
here say may make each "comma" a longer pause. Hence less comma's in the
      string.
