wild guess #1:  a missing colon? as in  "http://" instead of "http//"
wild guess #2: file name extension is missing?  
wild guess #3: you've mentioned the directory name but didn't name the page you want served?
                      (  http://mysystemname:2001/AS400HTML/index.html) for example?

Subject:        help on home page

I am trying to create and serve a sample home page on my AS/400 S10 for
my intranet users.  I have created a directory call AS400HTML and loaded
a sample home page.  When I enter the URL
http//mysystemname:2001/AS400HTML
I get the ERROR 403 - forbidden by rule message.  
I have granted *RX authority for this directory to the  QTMHHTTP user.
What else am I missing?
