Subject: Multi part MIME files send from the AS400

I am sending spool files and data base files from my AS400 in either a TXT
or RFT format. My utility work well and uses the SNDDST command to do the
distribution. However there is one problem that has me stumped. I can send
the spool files as attachments to myself just fine. They are send to the
internet to my ISP POP3 mail account. I connect with Outlook Express,
receive the message as multiple parts and Outlook Express puts them back
together for me and I have a single entry in my INBOX. However it seems
like when I send to a user who is using MS Exchange the message arrives as
multiple parts, but is never put back together, so the recipient sees
nothing but junk. I have been looking at the config for a client. The
AS400 sends the mail to a POP3 mailbox. On their network they have a POP3
gateway that takes in all the mail from the POP3 box into Exchange and then
distributes it to the local Exchange users. Can anyone tell me what is
going on here??? How can I avoid the recipient from receiving multiple
parts for the same message??? As usual... thanks in advance.
