  • Subject: Search400.com's search engine?

Folks:

Has anyone noticed how search400.com's search engine tends to return
invalid results 100% of the time?

I just did a search on the word "gobbledegook" ... expecting it to return 0
hits.

I got 901 hits!

>901 documents match your query.
>
>Word count: gobbledegook: 34; as: 400 3008060

(in the interest of the scientific method, I also searched for
"thingamabob" and got 898 hits, "whatsit" returned 898 also... "dohicky"
returned 851987 hits)

I don't know how they are constructing the search, but it appears they are
simply taking what I typed in and adding "or AS/400" (or something to that
effect).

Once I noticed that, I dismissed the site as a big advertisement with no
real value to the Midrange community at all.

They've got fancy graphics, lots of advertisement, a booth at COMMON ...
but their product doesn't work... and hasn't worked since I first looked at it.

Hmmm....
