Hi Joe,

I just read a review of Telnet/400 by Brian Singleton that probably explains
what you're experiencing:

"One problem that eliminates this program from most remote communication
scenarios is that instead of buffering keystrokes and sending them to the
AS/400 when users press an activation key (such as Enter), Telnet/400 sends
each keystroke to the AS/400 as it is typed and the AS/400 immediately
returns it to the workstation or terminal for display. This round trip for
every keystroke gives Telnet/400 the appearance of a sluggish application
running over slow connections and generates needless network traffic."

You can read the full text of this review at
http://www.news400.com/issues/1999/august/singleton/5782.htm.

BTW, I'm looking for a terminal emulator that includes an async router. I
have a customer that only lets me connect via a modem connected to an ASCII
workstation controller. I have Netsoft v3.11, but it doesn't work under NT
Server. If you know of anything, please let me know.
