Sorry -- correction in 2nd paragraph below  -- I meant SYNC -- SDLC not async.

I agree with Carl about the UDS series.  I think the latest is the V.3400.
They have all the features that AS/400's like for a a fair price.  They
even have a factory option set 9 that sets up the V.29bis autodial that the
AS/400 likes.  They also have great technicians who know what they are doing.

The issue about putting modems on the AS/400 for ECS line is that UDS is
singular in having an LCD readout and and easy to program system of YES-NO
buttons that programmers can understand.  I have spent way too much time
screwing around with getting PC modems to do SYNC - SDLC on an AS/400.  I will
never do it again.
