Not too hard. You have to have an FTP server running on the NT server, if
NT has a server built in, see if it is loaded and started. You should be
able to start it as a service from the services screen. Then write a
program that does FTP to the NT server, you can put all your FTP subcommands
in a file on the AS400 to log on to the NT server, and GET the file and then
to delete the file on the NT server. Once you have the data on the AS400,
process at will. If you need any help with how to set up the FTP sub
commands and how to execute them in a CL program let me know.
Also, there are at least 2 commercial products that can help you if you
don't want to write any code. One is from TrailBlazer Systems
(www.softwarejungle.com) and the other from Patrick Townsend and Associates
(www.patownsend.com). Both companies are represented on this list serv.
