John,

There are some pieces in multiple places. Thare are the Host
Servers:

5769SS1 Option: 12 OS/400 - Host Servers

These are the parts that RUN on the AS/400 side to support what the PC
side tries to do. These are on your CD's and do not need to be
ordered separately.

Then there are the pieces that show up as:

5769XE1 Client Access/400 Express for Windows
(and/or)
5769XW1 Client Access/400 Windows Family Base

if you have them installed.

BUT You DO NOT need to have these installed on the AS/400 to connect
to the machine. The code comes on a PC CD as well and can be
installed directly from that. That CD MAY contain Only a LIMITED Part
of CLient Access and that limited set is what you need (it contains
the base connectivity piece, Ops Nav, Operations Console, and the ODBC
driver).
If you order any licenses for CA then you get a different CD with
the third piece: 5250, File Transfer etc also on it. This is the only
piece that you can actually get from other vendors such as Netsoft,
WRQ, Synapse, even IBM's PC5250 product.

  HTH - Larry
