Hi all:

John - you are right w.r.t. user profiles containing the private authority.
The restore of programs is different from files and other objects. The
system performs more extensive checking of programs on the restore.
Programs prior to V2R3, programs without observability that were compiled
on the S/38 or prior to V2R3, and the "hopefully" obsolete hacker programs
can have problems.

Al - you are right w.r.t. DSPOBJAUT and saving the private authorities. It
is much cleaner than a RSTUSRPRF followed by RSTAUT. By the way, RSTUSRPRF
doesn't restore passwords unless you're restoring all profiles. It is also
dangerous if the profile on the test box has more authority than on the
production box.

We haven't seen a problem restoring other objects unless the owner is not
on the restoring AS/400. This is a curious situation...would be interested
if the problem occurs with files.
