You should see how much memory is on the printer, and check the PRTERRLOG command for data overflows.  It is best to have a minimum of 16Mb for a laser printer that functions as an AS/400 IPDS printer; ideally 32Mb or more if it will hold it.  We had the same problem with a HP4000, bumped ours up to 36Mb as it came with 4mb; has been working great ever since.

I am having a problem that whenever a user tries to print a large number of statements that the printer will print only 200 and stop.  We are having to manually restart printing on a regular basis.  The printer description looks fine and I see no reason why it is stopping.

Printer is HP5si
os400 v4r3m0
using customizing object to format data.

Anybody have any ideas why this is happening?
