Okay, I'll byte !!

            Why not use the system job accounting functions, or the CPF
1164/11xx Start/Stop messages from the Joblog which are designed for this
and can be written to an outfile ??

What my intent is, is to have this program run during my nightly backup,

write to a file all the users who have signed on that particular day.
Ideally, I
would like to have it enter each day as a record in a database file I could
query, but from what I have read it seems I can't do this?
