Assuming you are talking about the provided DATE keyword in DDS (which is
what *DATE does for you), if your system QDATFMT date format is MMDDYY then
the best you can do is change the generated DATE keyword to display it as
MM/DD/YYYY with DATE(*SYS *YY) EDTWRD('0 / / /')
(Assuming you want system date, and not default *JOB). Note - EDTCDE(Y)
won't work for 8 digit date.

If you have a true date data-type field, you can display it any way you
want with the *DATFMT keyword:
*ISO (default), or *JOB *MDY *DMY *YMD *JUL *USA *EUR *JIS

Subject: *DATE in SDA-- hoping against hope.

I'm sure this has been discussed here ad infinitum, but I just recently
re-subscribed to the list, and searching the archives on MIDRANGE.COM
has proven futile.
In SDA, when I enter *DATE to put the job date on the screen , the date
appears in MM/DD/YY format. Is there any way to have it appear in
YYYY-MM-DD format without moving the *date to another field within the
RPG program that drives the screens?
TIA
