Kirk,

  If you are running Token-Ring you can use option 12 against the Line
under WRKCFGSTS and all devices on the ring will be listed.  From
there you can assign names. Note that this does NOT work if the
token-ring is a FSIOP/IPCS/Netfinity card.

  As for Ethernet, if you are using the Netsoft Router (SNA
connection) then you can do RTVCFGSRC on the *APPC controllers.  They
will be listed in there.
