FYI - This was in today's Monday Morning Update (V1 #22):

On the software front, IBM says that it will have the
WebSphere Advanced Edition, the version of its Web
application server that supports Enterprise JavaBeans,
available for the AS/400 on October 29. (The Advanced
Edition has been shipping since early this year on UNIX and
NT, but the Rochester Labs said the implementation wasn't
robust enough for the AS/400, and correctly held up its
release.)

Subject: RE: Web/Application Server

There are many web servers available on the AS/400.
IBM has WebSphere, Netscape has an AS/400 version, I/Net has NetCommerce,
Lotus has the Domino server...
With Domino you can cluser the servers on the same machine and/or on
different machines. It is my understanding that you can even cluster
between the AS/400 and NT.
Domino has Java development built in. It has its own programming basic
type
language as well as a scripting language.
An interesting note. WWW.IBM.COM is ran IBM-Planetwide/10.39
Domino-Go-Webserver/4.6 on AIX, while www.as400.ibm.com is running
IBM-HTTP-Server/1.0 on AS/400. ( Info supplied by http://www.netcraft.com
