We wrote an RPG Program that uses ICF and a SNUF Device description to connect 
to the mainframe in
batch mode, signon, select the menu option(s), then do the data entry.  The 
application on the
mainframe is simple as it only accepts PO# and date repeated 12 times, but I'm 
sure that you could
do more sophisticated data entry.

We were using one SNUF device already for EDI, we just asked the mainframe 
people to create another
SNUF Device.  Other than that, the mainframe people were not needed.

We did a comm trace of an interactive session, then duplicated the data that 
was being sent in our
RPG program.
