We are using IBM's ImagePlus VisualInfo for AS/400.

http://www.software.ibm.com/data/imageplus/

It can also use other servers such as NT or OS/390

It's a good product - not great but certainly good.

We chose it mainly for the API's that were available. Also the client
is OLE compatible so we can drive it with our client server programs and
were able to integrate it completely with our in-house systems.

One note on the API's - they are IBM style API's so you need to be a
decent programmer to use them. Some software packages have API's which
are basically CL commands that you can execute but these require the
same level of knowledge as required to call system API's

Feel free to contact me privately if you need more info.
