You can use the CPYTOIMPF command to convert a file from AS/400 database
format to Excel CSV or other formats. After converting the file you can
use CPYTOSTMF to copy it to an IFS or QDLS directory for access by your
users. 

If you are looking for a commercial product that can automate a lot of
these functions you might want to check out our CrossData/400 product:
