Having not used Perl before, I was not sure if it needed to be compiled for 
the local machine (like C or RPG) or not.  If it is interpreted...  Then it 
is just a file being served like an HTML file.  I assume that this is what 
you are saying...

Hi Robert,  CGI programs can be written in a number of languages, including 
PERL
(an intepreted script language), C, and RPG.
