Because IBM doesn't know how to sell software(As Al pointed out
earlier),
never have, never will. They have let some very nice products languish
and even die for a lack of marketing.... Anybody remember a product
called Advanced Printer Function Utilities ?? Great product(IMO) but
hardly ever
got sold or even used.... How about BGU... a very lowly product that
could do all sorts of spiffy things.. It died cause IBM couldn't seem to
be able to produce a Graphics capable screen anybody would buy, and the
list goes on.... Neither of the above were KILLER apps. but they were
some of the things customers really liked to see.

It's the little things that kill the 400 image...

We can't do pie charts...boooo... W/3.1 could, but not the 400 !!!!

We want to be able to print forms on our printer (same as above)...

You could do both things I mention YEARS ago on the 400...but NOBODY
knew !!!

I realize I am singing to the wrong group but I saw this a LONG time
ago and it continues today....
