Buck,

You're right.  Doing this with normal *SCS spooled files is possible with
the CPYSPLF command, but other spooled files are a little harder.  Trust me,
I've looked into all the spooled file APIs to try and get my shareware to
work with non-*SCS spooled files, but I haven't found an easy way yet.  Time
is a factor, because I know its possible.  Just use one of the Spooled File
APIs to copy a spooled file to a user space, and then use DMPOBJ to look at
the data.  Whew!  Then, when you think you have it figured out, try it on an
entirely different spooled file...  even more crazy!  :)

So, this will work for *SCS, but it will take a little work, and if it's a
3000 page report, may take quite a bit of processing power.
