I just wanted to thank Carl and Nina for responding. We've got the
consultant up and running!

Thanks again for the suggestions.
=)

Roger:
I believe from our discussion that you have a RAS server, the contractor
can
dial the RAS and start a TELNET session to the IP address of the 2nd
AS400
(assuming they are both on the same Ethernet). Also if you have
internet
access to/from the Ethernet, you could also put a proxy server and map a
port to the telnet port (23) on the loaner AS400. Then the contractor
could
connect to the internet, and start a TELNET session to the IP address on
the
internet that your proxy server listens on and route the session to the
AS400. All this assumes that the contractor has a TN5250 emulator
installed. If you don't have one try www.mochasoft.dk.

Let me know if I can be of any more help.
