Hi Cyndi take a look at the IGNITe/400 and the macro forum samples from the
front page as an example basically what you want to do is something like
this, where the variable names being retrieved and placed in the search are
$(V1) and $(V2).

%FUNCTION(DTW_SQL) SQL_SHOWPRODUCT() {
  SELECT PRODUCTID, NAME
  FROM $(COLLECTION).PRODUCT B
  ORDER BY PRODUCTID

  %REPORT{
      <SELECT NAME="PRODUCTID">

                <OPTION value=0>all products

          %ROW{
                <OPTION value="$(V1)"> $(V2)
      %}
          </SELECT>
  %}

%}

Subject: Net.Data

HI,

I am learning Net.Data. We are planning on transitioning some of our
programs to web-based. I understand most of it, but I do have a question.

I have a form, on which I would like to place a <select> drop down box that
will contain data from a file on the 400. Is there a way to do this?

I figured that I would have to code an SQL function to retrieve the data
(always 6 items) and place each into a variable that I would then use in the
<option> portion of the select statement.
But I'm not quite sure how to do that.

If anyone has a code snip they would share, I would appreciate it.

TIA,
