According to IBM AS/400 Division, based upon a Gartner Group measurement of 240
observations from 190 firms (sample a bit smallish)...

AS/400 5.1 hrs unplanned downtime per year, 99.94% availability
NT Server 224.5 hrs unplanned downtime  per year, 97.44% availability

You can do the math from there...pretty dramatic especially when you consider 
the
fact the NT is typically deployed as one app - one server vs AS/400 many/all the
apps - one server.
