Hello Tim:

If you use the BINARY type of file transfer, it will not be converted at all,
and will require special software to process it on Unix (PD is not native to
Unix, and neither is EBCDIC).  If you want to use the file on a Unix system,
you should unpack the data (you can do this in a logical view) and use ASCII
transfer.
