7208-342 is the only EXternal 8mm drive, currently marketed by IBM.
 8mm INternal drives are readily available...

Nope.  You can't get any internal 8mm drives from IBM, the only available
unit
is the 7208-342 20GB unit.  All other drives would have to be purchased
used.
