Sorry;
I missed alot of this thread, however I wrote a utility which captures
(whenever run) the entire
IFS or specified Directories. Every thing you see on a DSPLNK screen.
Size, Owner, Path, etc.

It captures the Whole Path, and the Directory Path(minus the File Name).

This information is accumulated in a history file. It also parses out the
File Name if it has a
DOT in it into two fields like LETTER.DOC would be captured as two
fields. This allows
sorting via my Inquiry, and or using query.

For example; How many .EXE's are in Joe Blows, directory, What consumed
our disk yesterday
(some one saving via clicky, clicky on Win95 a 5 gig drive). How much
did the User Directory
increase monthly over the last year? What is the Total size of .DOC's or
.XLS's on the AS/400.
Etc.

It's a kinda neat utility I think. It is offered with my ETIKIT package
which I market.

It's great for doing Historical Trend analysis on the growth of the IFS.
and Other things.
