The variation QPRINT, QPRINT2 and QPRINTS is a left-over from rel 1 of
CPF (the OS of s/38). We had the OUTPTY() and HOLD() to control what to
print and when. No IBM-program defaults to QPRINT2 and QPRINTS (and
hardly to QPRINT I think). QPRINT* are intended for useroutput.

QSYSPRT is for system printout. I produce a lot of it which I cancel. My
recommended 'New release command' for this is CHGPRTF QSYSPRT HOLD(*YES)

QP.... etc are for special purpose (you are already familiar with
QPPGMDMP and QPJOBLOG, aren't you).

All of this is just for your conveniance to ease the job setting the
system up so that you get the print when and where you want. No system
differences are found.

2.1.2.1 IBM-Supplied Printer Files

The following list contains the IBM-supplied printer files:

QSYSPRT: a program-described printer file in library QSYS.

QPRINT: Default spooled output printer file for normal print.

QPRINTS: Default spooled output printer file for special forms.

QPRINT2: Default spooled output printer file for two copy output.

QPSPLPRT: Default spooled output printer file for the spooling
subsystem.

When I display the printer file QPRINT2, the COPIES parameter is still 1,
it isn't 2. How can I understand the TWO COPY OUTPUT?

Thanks.
