Dave, try this:     FTRNDT // 100

Ken, I tried your suggestion when I started changing this CL, and,
per your suggestion, I tried it again.  I still got the field mapping
error.
(TRAN_YY 'FTRNDT * 1'  *ZONED 2 0)                           
I'm not sure why, maybe the underlying database engine doesn't
handle the overflow condition properly.  Thanks for the reply.
