I've used the ASCII workstation controller here with lots of luck. In fact I
was
using it until just a couple of months ago. I was one of the last people to
jump on
the 8235 bandwagon. The PC I had was ancient and would not support new stuff.
The
new free loaner from work is a huge P2 with the latest bells and supports the
8235.
(No I don't always wait until technology becomes obsolete before I adopt it.)

The big difference between the laplink and the controller is laplink will let
you
into your PC applications, and therefore your lan based applications also.
I've
used Client Access on the workstation controller and it was just fine.

Subject: Remote access

I currently use LapLink to connect to my work PC, giving me access to our
AS/400. This works okay for me, but I would like to give others the same
access without having individual separate phone lines, etc. I have an ASCII
workstation controller that is not being used. Can I use this with Client
Access or any other program? If not, any suggestions how to accomplish this?

Thanks.
