  • Subject: Update Column in one table with value from another table using SQL
  • From: Joe Giusto <JGiusto@xxxxxxxxxxxx>

How can I update a column in table1 with the value of a column in table2?
Both tables have a unique index on account number.

I tried Update table1 set column = (select colum2 from table2 where
table2.acct = table1.acct)

No luck. I thought I have done something like this before but can not
remember the correct syntax.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
