Because they lied to me!!! Well not really.  I went because it was Java and I 
knew OS/2 had good Java support 
so I assumed the Toolbox would be available for OS/2 as well as Windoze.  Guess 
what?  I spent 6 weeks 
spitting and fuming and cursing the poxy W95 machine I had to work with.  At 
least I was just using it as an 
emulator and code editor.  I did all the host Java (and the little RPG 
application that was the starting 
point) and left the Java GUI to one of the other residents (Jim Fair).

However, I can use VAJ under OS/2 and import the Toolbox classes and then I'm a 
happy little vegemite.  I 
only lose the smart guides and I don't think much of them anyway.
