Just to clarify... I meant all this in jest... I have Never seen Linux,
although I have been down the long road with all the other versions
of W/xx, unix,aix,OS/400,CCP,MVS, et all...... I never cease to be
amazed at the computer community and what they will rant & rave about
from year to year... When I started in this business, rpg was considered
sub-human and COBOL ruled the day.. A couple years later, a new thing
came along called PL/1 which was going to rule the world and the strange
thing called unix was mostly a lab experiment.. Fortran was taught at
the college level.... (Just rambling on).... Does anybody remember was
was "hot" 4 years ago ??? ILE,VisualAge,RPGIV,powerpc,OO,FSIOP,... I
just took those terms from the front page of News/400 for 1995...

Don't pay any attention to grumpy old programmers....
