  • Subject: TCPIP address of PC5250 user for RUNRMTCMD

Dear All,

I have a routine that I call from a PC (running CA V3R1M3) that does the
following:
1. Starts the recieve incoming command daemon (cwbrxd.exe)
2. Calls a CL that runs some queries to produce outfiles.
3. uses RUNRMTCMD to call a PC batch file.

The PC batch file runs an Access database that imports the files, plays
around with them, mails them to a collegue & finally produces some reports.
The problem i have lies with the RUNRMTCMD command. I know that the
username & password an be any that are currently signed on, & i have a
couple that are permanently signed on that i can use. I want to enable any
of about a dozen people to be able to use this routine, but i can't enter an
IP address as these are dynamically allocated by our network. I need some
way of finding out the IP address of the currently signed on user. There
must be a record of it somewhere as Client access uses IP to communicate
with the 400!

Anyone got any ideas?
Thanks
Stuart Allen
