We have an some 8mm AI drives that do the "flashing" when ready for cleaning
and we have been using a EXATAPE Cleaning tape with success for some years.
Not sure where we get them (just about 5 months ago we got another box) but
I could find out.  I'd send you one of the tapes if it would help!
