I have attended both the AS/400 Technical Conference and Common. From an
education point of view they are about the same, many of the same instructors
are at both events. Common offers more choices of classes and labs. Common
can be disorganized at times. Example: At Common in the fall of 98 in Anaheim
many of us stood in line over 4 hours just to signup.

I have been a follower of the list for about a year now. Every time
Common rolls around there is a lot of talk and excitement preceding it.
I have never attend a Common event but have attended IBM's AS/400
Technical Conferences (I was in Atlanta in November) and have enjoyed
them. Can anyone give me an opinion on which is better and why? Why
doesn't anyone talk about the IBM conference in this forum?

Thinking of attending Common,
Sam Kanakanui
