On thing you might be able to do is use the QsnCrtInpBuf, QsnReadScr
and QsnRtvDta API's in the attention program. This would allow the
attention program to read what is currently on the screen. It would
then have to parse out the information it is looking for.

You can't as far as I know. It seems that what you are asking is
impossible from my perspective. My reply was based on the assumption
that
we know what program is being called and the parameters that are being
passed. An ATTN key program is the only way I know of to add
functionality
to an application without changing the code of the native program
 (clear
as mud?)

If I start writing an ATTN key program(say PGM1), how is that I access
the
values in the application/existing programs from PGM1??

Ravi.
