Our ShowMe/400 product allows you to recognize a screen image, and then if you
press the Attn key while on that screen, it will determine what it is supposed 
to
do based on where the cursor is.  It will then (if you want it to) "scrap" the
selected data off the screen and pass it to one of our definitions or an RPG
program.  In this way, you can add functionality to existing systems or 
programs,
without the need for the source or to modify the source.

How does it do it, I dont know.
