True, but spreading that kind of rumor might get them off their behinds and
at least moving to RPG IV in compatibility mode <g>.

Roger - does this sound like a familiar refrain ?

On a more serious note - you can switch to RPG IV _without_ going to ILE.
The benefits are significant and well worth the few minor glitches you
might experience.

COBOL is a different matter.  Mixing OPM and ILE COBOL is NOT a good idea.
If you can switch the whole thing to ILE, it is not too much of a problem,
trying to live with a mix is going to give you far more trouble than you
want.
