Hmmm... I just looked through the _REQUIRED_ application objects I have on
my CISC machine and they are all observable. I'd guess that your client was
using some of the Synon/1 utilities that are not part of the runtime. Either
that or you ran into someone at Synon (Sterling) that didn't understand what
you were doing.

Well there is nothing inherently wrong with run time objects.  Until you
cross
the CISC RISC boundary.  Since the objects were non observable, we had to
get the
RISC version from Synon.  Yup, no maintenance, so shell out some bucks
and...
viola.
