Now there's a thought. Maybe it would be a simpler extension for IBM to
give us a mechanism to specify the logical position of each subfile record.
Eg. physical 11 through 20 could be logical -9 through 0. Then we could
process the subfile in either natural RRN  or logical position sequence. OS
controlled scrolling (i.e. scrolling without control returning to the HLL
program) would always be done in logical position sequence.
