     Carl,

     I used to just chop up the field into parts. Define fields screen:

     Yr1 = datefield/10000
     Mon1= (datefield/100)-(Yr1*100)
     Day1= datefield-(Yr1*10000)-(Mon1*100)

     NewDate= Mon1*10000+Day1*100+Yr1

Subject: Date conversion technique in QUERY

anyone have a quick and dirty way to convert a date (6,0) in a YYMMDD format
to a MMDDYY format for printing in a Query? I know I can multiply by
100.0001, however Query thinks it knows better and won't let you chop off
the left most 2 significant digits, which makes this technique not work. (I
get the dreaded +++++++++ as the output for this field).
Surely someone has solved this little problem.
TIA,
Carl
