A customer is asking me about password synchronization
between NT and
AS/400.

Under W/95 the initial Profile and Password were saved by
W95 and were
automatically reused for every subsequent connection to the
AS/400.

Under NT, everytime they reboot the machine, the system asks
to re-validate
AS/400 Profile & Password. They'd like to shut this level
of security off, and
allow automatic signon to the router.

Does anyone know how this is done in W/NT?

jte

(P.S. - I know, I know, as a security guy I should not be
helping him leave an
open, unsecured, router, but he's been a good friend for a
long while, so I am
willing to indulge him.)
