You don't want to do that. IBM libraries may or may not be set to collect usage
information. So just because there is no last used date, does not mean that the
program is not being used.

Another place to look for space hogs is QHST* files. These are history logs and
some systems have a large number of these laying around if the clean up routines
are not used and monitored for use.

Another place that can affect smaller systems, the journals. Yes Virginia, all
400s have journals, even if you are not journaling. Depending upon activity,
the
SNADS journals, and the problem journals (QSX*, I think) can have quite a few
entries on them. Change the journal with *GEN and then delete the old journal
receivers. Do a WRKJRN, press enter and specify *all *all. You may be suprised
by what you see.

Spool files can be left on the system and clog it up.

Check alerts. WRKALR. Delete older ones.

Check problems. WRKPRB. Set the system value to an acceptable "keeper" range,
30 is what the system ships with, its in days. Do a DLTPRB to delete the older
ones.

If your system has experienced "unscheduled" outages or stops, and you have not
done one since prior to the failures, RCLSTG. Requires dedicated system, can
take long time.

Good luck, happy hunting.
