DSKBAL was an interim solution.  There are good disk balancing algorithms
built into V4R4.  You can balance based on sheer capacity.  However you can
analyze usage using "Trace" commands, and then balance based on usage.

In V4R4, you also have the option of spreading objects by ASP during an
disk add from DST.

I am away from home, and don't have my details with me, however I wrote a
whole section on this for the March issue of News/400.
