MAINTENANCE SYSTEMS MANAGER
Major Cincinnati based facility maintenance contractor offers an excellent
opportunity for an individual with 1-3 years systems analysis experience
and an associate or B.S. degree in computers or engineering.  Primary
responsibility is to direct and coordinate the development, training, and
maintenance activities of computerized equipment management systems.
Successful candidate must be skilled at planning and scheduling and be able
to effectively correlate and analyze data, the result of which will
continually improve our maintenance processes.  Good computer skills and
strong mechanical aptitude are essential.  Database manipulation and
statistical analysis are key functions.  Excellent communication skills are

JOB DESCRIPTION
SUMMARY 
Directs and coordinates development, training, and maintenance activities 
of computerized equipment management systems by performing the following 
duties personally or through subordinates or actual users.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 
Other duties may be assigned.

The PEM System Manager will interact with members from:
        Client Company
        Marketing Single Source Operations
        Accounting Department
to provide expertise with regards to the PEM database system.  To
investigate and analyze feasibility of client and Viox PEM requirements.
Provides expert data systems advice and guidance to Single Source
Operations, develops system specifications, plans, and consults with Viox
and client management to analyze computer system needs for management
information and functional operations, to determine scope and priorities of
projects, and to assess the capabilities of the system.

Recommends and develops plans for systems growth and improvements, hardware
and software purchases, budget, and staffing.

Develops, implements, and monitors equipment management information systems
policies and controls to ensure standardization and data accuracy.

Negotiates and contracts with consultants, technical personnel, and vendors
for services and products.

Provides technical support to end users.

Identify, develop, and implement the method of data input, reports, and
training to accurately document performance measurements.

Established physical database parameters.

Specifies user access level for each segment of one or more data items such
as insert, replace, retrieve, or delete data.

Tests and corrects errors, and refines changes to database.

Directs programmers and analysts to make changes to database management
system.

Develop a continuous training program to ensure users are informed and
capable of maximum utilization of the JDE PEM system.

Form and facilitate a JDE users group to identify and implement system
improvements.

Confers with co-workers to determine impact on other systems and staff cost
for making changes to database.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises two employees in the PEM Systems Group.  Carries out
supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies
and applicable laws.  Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and
training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising
performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints
and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform

EDUCATION and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree(B.A.) from four year college or university; or one to two

LANGUAGE SKILLS

professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from
groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and
statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and
trigonometry.  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages,
ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid
conclusions.  Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical
instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract
and concrete variables.
