To all SQL gurus:

I have an OPM RPG program w/ emmbedded SQL. The statement looks something
like this:

C+ DELETE FROM LIB/FILE WHERE DBFLD = :WRKFLD

1) If DBFLD is defined as 4 alpha and WRKFLD is 2 alpha, but the right 2
positions are always blank (i.e. DBFLD = 'ZZ ' and WRKFLD = 'ZZ'), should
this get a hit?

2) If the program is not under commitment control but the program is
compiled with the default COMMIT( *CHANGE ), should this affect the results
of the update?

 This is under V3R2. TIA.
