Loyd:

That drive can only read somthing created at a lower level... It does
in fact use 2.5 gig tapes but will save up to 5gig using hardware
compression.... Most IBM drives will read anything equal to or lower
than the drive it was created on....since there wasn't anything prior to
that model, that's the ball game....
