Thanks Andreas to your response. Out of your two possibility which you
have suggested, I was trying to use
2nd one. ( Because, I am not familliar with MR ). I created using all
three physical file into a joined Logical file.
But, I was struck because Joined Logical File does'nt allow to use
secondary file field as a Key field.

When I started working on this, I thouhgt I can use 19 different joined
Logical file with different key fields to replace 19 different OPNQRYF
which builds the access path every time we run the program.

But, I cannot proceed further because of the joined Logical File
restriction , which does'nt allow to have key fields from
Secondary files.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Regards
Raj

I can understand this wish. Often OPNQRYF or using SQL is a fast and easy
way to solve a problem but it is a little like a "break section" because of
various reasons. - Who cares.. ;-)

Now: really - I only realize two possibilities for your problem:

(a) creating needed LF to all PF and using "matching records" (yes:
although there are some who hate it ;-), yes: although there are some who
find it to be complicated (it is _not_... it is easier using MR than coding
all level structures by yourself :-) ; btw I only used MR once during my 8
yrs of
programming)

(b) avoiding the "takes a long time" by creating the "right" LFs for the
PFs so that u can presume that the "access path optimizer" of OPNQRYF can
join the
files
as u want them a.s.a.p.
